What's new

Version 2.0 of BladeLogic Portal offers the following new features:

  • The portal now lets you accept data from a vulnerability management system such as Qualys or Nessus. Using that vulnerability information, you can map the servers that were scanned for vulnerabilities to the servers under BladeLogic management. You can also map vulnerabilities detected on those servers to packages and patches that BladeLogic can use to fix vulnerabilities. Using a new vulnerability dashboard, you can see both a high-level and a detailed view of server and vulnerability information. Then, from the dashboard you can launch a remediation wizard that automatically deploys content to selected targets so you can correct vulnerabilities.
  • You can now integrate the portal with BMC Automation Orchestrator. By making this connection, you can use an integration between BMC Server Automation and BMC Remedy ITSM Change Management to track and authorize changes that are initiated by portal operators.

  • You can now use Compliance operations to measure server adherence to the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP).

  • You can now view logs and other text-based files.

  • Performance and functionality for any searches that involve servers has been greatly improved
