Configuring zIIP processing

BMC AMI Ops Monitor for IPoffloads processing to the zIIPs (IBM System z Integrated Information Processors), where possible and if available.

Customizing after installation

To enable zIIP processing

  1. From the Utilities section of the EZIP menu, select Product Administration (EZADMIN) and press Enter.
  2. From the EZADMIN menu, select MVIP Config Settings (MVIPCNFD), and press Enter.
  3. In the zIIP Settings section, if the zIIP parameter is set to No, change to Yes, and press Enter (the default value of zIIP parameter is Yes).
  4. Insert the percentage (1-100) to be used in the zIIP % field and press Enter. The default is 100%.

Important

You can use the MVIPPERF view to track how much you are offloading to zIIP.
