Defining Data Trace options
You can use the Data Trace options to define how much trace data is saved and whether it is overwritten during a trace. The Data Tracing views provide detailed information about a data call, including all data parameters and return codes.
To define Data Trace options
- From the EZIP menu, select MVIP Parms (EZPARMS) in the Utilities section, and press Enter.
- From the EZPARMS menu, select MVIP Parms Configuration (MVIPCONF) in the Detail Views section, and press Enter.
- In the Dattrace Wrap field, type YES or No to enable or prevent wrapping of the trace data when the end is reached.
- On the MVIPCNFD view, add the Trace Name Pattern and Trace Volume Serial fields. For more information on allocating names for trace files, see Patterns-for-allocating-Trace-files.
