Deleting a Trace

This topic describes how to delete a Trace in MainView for IP.

Before you begin

The trace must be non-active before you can delete it. You must stop the Trace to make it nonactive. See Stopping-a-Trace.

To delete a MainView for IP Trace

  1. From the EZIP menu select the type of Trace you want from the Diagnostics section, and press Enter.
  2. In the Command field of the Tracing view for a Trace with status that is not ACTIVE, type DEL or DELALL (to delete all active traces) and press Enter. You can select from the following types of Traces:
    • PKTTRACE: Packet Tracing
    • DATTRACE: Data Tracing
    • OSATRACE: OSA Tracing
    • SKTTRACE: Socket Tracing
  3. Press Enter to return to the Tracing view. The trace entry should no longer be visible on the Tracing view.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
