Downloading the installation files

You obtain the product installation files by downloading them from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) website. Your ability to access product pages on the EPD website is determined by the license entitlements purchased by your company. To understand which files you are entitled to download, access the license entitlements for your product.

When to download a service pack

For a fresh installation or an upgrade, check the release notes to determine the latest update and then download the following:

  • The latest release or service pack (if available).
For service packs, the installer will install or upgrade the full product. For example, when you install version 8.7.01, it installs version 8.7.00 along with enhancements that were made in 8.7.01 (Service Pack 1).
  • Any hotfixes that are available for known issues

If you sign up for Proactive Notification , you will be notified about new service packs or patches for applying the latest changes, as well as bulletins about critical fixes.

Downloading the files

The following video (2:25) demonstrates how to use the EPD site to download the software purchased from BMC.

To install the product for the first time or apply product updates, select the Additional Products tab and download the latest service pack or patch. You can find the latest information about service packs and patches under Release notes and notices

The documentation is very poor, and confusing. the versioning of the patches in the document is also confusing. When I try to download 8.9.03 patch 3 I have no way of know if it's version 1, 2 or 3. I'm trying to download Patch 3 but the date I get back is December 2018. When I go back I get put into an endless loop.

This is GARBAGE in my option..!!!!
