8.9.00.01: Patch 1 for version 8.9.00


This patch corrects known issues in BMC Database Automation (BDA) and introduces enhancements to the product.

Enhancements

BDA 8.9.00.01 includes support for the discovery of Oracle RAC Clusters on NFS. BDA can discover RAC clusters, enabling you to run Compliance Standards and Actions on the databases that are configured on the NFS share location.

The RAC clusters are set up on environments with ASM disabled. The following screen illustrates the Cluster Information page, including a new Has ASM property that specifies whether the cluster uses ASM or not.

BDA provides support for the discovery of Oracle RAC clusters on NFS for Oracle versions 11.2 and 12.1.

The discovery of Oracle RAC clusters on NFS is supported for the following platforms:

  • RHEL 5, RHEL 6
  • Solaris 11
  • Oracle Enterprise Linux 6
  • Oracle Enterprise Linux 7
  • SUSE Linux 9
