Using command line tools
BMC Database Automation provides a command line interface (CLI) that enables you to access functionality in the GUI by running tools from the command line. Executing commands in this manner enables you to access the underlying provisioning, patching, and Action functionality to combine operations with various tools in your environment.
Note
Although command line tools offer a potentially faster or more convenient way to perform a specific function, they may also cause unintended consequences that might compromise your environment if not used carefully.
Before using Command Line Tools, refer to the OS requirements.
- Setting up the CLI environment
