Forgetting a SQL Server Availability Group

You can forget SQL Server Availability Groups that no longer exist, yet continue to show up in the Management Console (as either healthy or failed).

This option does not actually remove the Availability Group itself; rather, it removes the object from the Context Tree. If a healthy SQL Server Availability Group object is removed, the node under which the group resides can be rescanned, after which the Availability Group will be visible under the Pending Approval section.

To remove a SQL Server Availability Group, from the Management Console, select the SQL Server Availability Group node under which the Availability Group that you want to remove resides, and select Maintenance > Forget SQL Server Availability Group.
