H-CA 7 status values


Each job view panel has a CA 7 Status field. This appendix gives an explanation for each possible value.

PCS has several panels that display a list of jobs with many items of information about each job, including its CA 7 Status.

Values in white indicate that CA 7 does not have the correct status of the job. White screen text is shown in black in this manual. For an example, see the JCL-ERRORed by Converter description in Values for Status Details.

The CA 7 Status field has one of the following values:

  • FCAST indicates the job is in the forecast and has not entered the CA 7 Request queue yet.
  • REQ-Q indicates the job is in the CA 7 Request queue.
  • RDY-S indicates the job is in the CA 7 Ready queue and has been submitted to JES.
  • ACT-Q indicates the job is in the CA 7 Active queue. It is executing.
  • Cancelled indicates the job was cancelled either directly or indirectly by the CA 7 operator as described under the Details field.
  • COMP-P indicates the job is pending completion. Some additional information is required to verify if it has been completed successfully.
  • Cnnnn indicates the job completed successfully and nnnn is the highest return code.
  • COMP indicates the job completed successfully but the highest return code is not known.
  • R-#nnnn indicates the job failed due to a condition code of nnnn at the step level. The job has been returned to the Request queue and needs to be submitted for re-execution.
  • R-Cnnnn indicates the job failed due to a condition code of nnnn at the job level. The job has been returned to the Request queue and needs to be submitted for re-execution.
  • A-Snnn indicates the job abended with a System Abend nnn. The job has been returned to the Request queue and needs to be submitted for re-execution.
  • A-Unnn indicates the job abended with a User Abend nnn. The job has been returned to the Request queue and needs to be submitted for re-execution.
  • R-JCLERR indicates the job failed due to a JCL-Error. The job has been returned to the Request queue and needs to be submitted for re-execution.
  • N-FAIL indicates the XPJOB failed to be submitted to a remote node. An error occurred during the submission attempt. For agent jobs, indicates that a problem occurred contacting the agent.
  • Not Run indicates the job was not run or executed due to the reason described in the Details field.
  • N-STOP indicates the XPJOB failed to be submitted to a remote node. The node is in the stopped state.
  • N-OFFL indicates the XPJOB failed to be submitted to a remote node. The node is in the offline state.
  • N-XTRK indicates the XPJOB failed to be submitted to a remote node. CA 7 Tracker is not active.
  • N-AIS indicates there is an CA IAS Component problem or AGENTJOB=NO in the initialization file.
  • Skipped indicates the job has been skipped either directly or indirectly due to the reason described in the Details field.
  • W-AGENT indicates the agent is not active.
