Stored Procedure Compare Overview

A stored procedure compare checks for differences between the text of two or more stored procedures. ComparePro searches the procedures for identical lines of text and reports any differences as inserts, deletes or moves.

To create a trigger compare

From the File menu, select New > Stored Procedure Compare.

Warning

Note

Due to the nature of procedures, it is possible to have procedures with different text that perform the same function. For example, adding comments to a stored procedure changes the text but not the functionality. Review the Detailed Results to determine the significance of any differences found.
