System Administrator

  • Manage configurations that globally control the system behavior.
  • Group the clients dynamically based on administrator-defined criteria.
  • Create, delete, assign, preview, generate reports.
  • Manage events and alerts, configure alert notifications.

Security Administrator

  • Manage security settings, security profiles, predefined administrator groups, access rights and capabilities for specific cases.
  • Address data privacy requests.

Configuration Manager

  • Configure asset discovery, Windows devices for Device Management, device settings for power management, remote access, diagnostic tools, Operational Rules, Financial Asset Management, Patch Management, Windows Device Management, compliance management, mobile device management.

  • Lock BMC Client Management Agent service.
  • Customize the end-user dialogs to provide a personalized experience.

Application Developers

  • Launch the console via command line.
  • Launch the web console for device access, launch operational rules and software deployments through XML, launch patch deployments and assigning monitoring policies through XML.
  • Assign application management policies through XML.
  • Integrate with the BMC Client Management database.
  • Add custom operational rule steps and add a customized menu to devices.
