Creating BMC Client Management database
Log on as the Oracle user.
su – oracleRun the following command.
/dbcaIn step 4 (Database Identification), provide a global database name and SID and click Next.

- In step 5 (Storage Options), select a storage option and click Next. See Oracle-recommendations for the recommended disk layout.

- In step 6 (Fast Recovery Options), select the recovery options for the database and click Next.

- In step 7 (Network Configuration), select Create a new listener and click Next.

- In step 8 (Database Options), clear the unnecessary options for BCM database and click Next.

- In step 9 (Configuration Options), select the Use Automatic Shared Memory Management option and click Next. See Oracle-recommendations for the recommended memory size.

- Go to the Sizing tab and configure the block size and number of backgrounds processes. Click Next.

- Go to the Character sets tab and configure the database character set. Click Next.

- Go to the Connection mode tab and select the connection mode. Click Next.

- Go to the Sample schemas tab and clear this option. Click Next.

- In step 10 (Management Options), specify the management options and click Next.

- In step 11 (User Credentials), specify the passwords and click Next.

In step 12 (Creation Option), select Create database and click All Initialization Parameters.
A table with all initialization parameters and their properties is displayed in a new window.
- Click Advanced Parameters to display the complete list.
- Modify the values of the parameters as explained in Oracle-recommendations.
- Click Close and click Next.

In step 13 (Summary), click Finish if all configuration values are correct.

- In step 14 (Progress Page), wait for the database creation process to finish.

In step 15 (Finish), click Close.

Database creation is complete.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
