We are announcing enhancements to the listed product. 

Support for IBM z/OS 3.1 is available, as we announced in(ID 315602) Technical bulletin: Day-one support for IBM z/OS 3.1

Overview of the enhancements

  • You can use the new operator command PURGE TP=, to purge the TP connection from the HCI address space. You can also use the command to obtain a list of active HCI user IDs along with TP sequence numbers. 
  • You can now define an internal proxy HTTP address to override the default BMC HTTP address in the BMC AMI zAdviser product.
  • You can use the new XChange parameter POSTEPOC to request date-time simulations between the years 2041 and 2099 in the BMC AMI DevX Total Test product.

Corrected issue

In BMC AMI DevX Workbench for Eclipse version 20.14.02 and later, an abend occurs when you attempt to view and refresh the JES report.

ECC PTF CXSJ91A resolves the issue.

Obtaining the enhancements

The following PTFs enable the enhancements:

You must apply both ECC PTF CXSJ80A and XChange PTF XGC053A together.

We recommend that you obtain the enhancement by using the SMP/E RECEIVE ORDER command. For more information, see Using SMP/E RECEIVE ORDER.

However, you can also use the following method:

  1. Navigate toElectronic Product Distribution - BMC Mainframe and select the BMC AMI DevX tab.

  2. In Order Type, select Cumulative Maintenance, and search for BMC AMI Common Shared Services.
  3. Click the BMC AMI Common Shared Services 17.02 row.
  4. Select from the Required Dependent Products list and (if applicable) Recommended products list.
  5. Click Done to add the product.
  6. Click Continue to proceed, select the relevant options across the ordering stages, and complete the ordering process.

To view a list of PTFs included in the cumulative maintenance, go toBMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD), locate the required product name and version, and click the PTF text file.

Reminder

We plan to remove the Cumulative Maintenance order option on the BMC AMI DevX tab (formerly the Compuware Products tab) on the EPD-BMC Mainframe page by December 31, 2023. We previously made this announcement in the technical bulletin dated 6 March, 2023 (ID 291721) image-2023-6-13_17-1-14.png . To avoid any disruption to the product maintenance delivery, we strongly recommend that you transition to the IBM SMP/E RECEIVE ORDER as soon as possible.
