We are announcing the retirement of the ftp.compuware.com website on February 7, 2022. To prepare for this change, we recommend that you perform the actions described in the following sections:

Support case problem resolution

If you currently upload files for customer support case resolution to the ftp.compuware.com website processes, we recommend that you begin the transition to BMC’s Secure File Transfer (SFT) service before February 7, 2022.

The SFT service provides robust cybersecurity and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance supporting the latest transfer and at-rest encryption technologies. For more information about SFT, see Secure File Transfer User Guide for BMC Customers and watch the Secure File Transfer Service walkthrough video.

If you have an account on Support Central, you have access to the SFT service. If not, click here to open an account. For more information, see "Accessing the Service" in Secure File Transfer User Guide for BMC Customers.

BMC Compuware product downloads

  • BMC Compuware products build application change its target delivery service in the next few months. epddownload.bmc.com will replace ftp.compuware.com  as the product download service on February 7, 2022. We recommend that you forward File server and certificate information to your internal firewall team to ensure continuous availability of your download service.

Anonymous ftp will not be used on the new infrastructure. Each order has its own user name and password, which will be provided you receive as part of the order and delivery process.
The BMC Compuware product ordering interface will begin switching to the EPD tool by default in mid-September 2021, but will allow you to override the default and use the  ftp.compuware.com website until February 7, 2022

  • Receive Order- In an earlier communication we indicated that support for the Compuware generated X.509 certificate would be available for a transition period.
From February 7, 2022, the BMC Receive Order system will no longer recognize a Compuware generated X.509 certificate as of February 7, 2022.  You must obtain a BMC X.509 certificate from here before February 7, 2022

BMC Compuware zAdviser

If you send zAdviser data to the ftp.compuware.com website, we recommend that you begin the transition to a secure method for transferring data before February 7, 2022.

BMC Compuware zAdviser supports the following methods for transferring data:

  • SFTP
  • FTPS
  • HTTPS
  • Jenkins plug-in

The SFT service is different from these methods.

Configuration information can be found on the zAdviser Administration documentation site at https://download.api.compuware.com.
