Considerations for adding transaction entries
The default transaction IDs for the Abend-AID for CICS transactions are as follows, although you can use any valid, unique transaction ID:
AAON | Abend-AID for CICS region and transaction dump interfaces. |
AADF | Abend-AID for CICS viewing access from CICS. |
AADB | Db2 option support. |
AADA | Abend-AID for CICS Assembler demonstration transaction (for transaction dump support). |
AADM | Abend-AID for CICS COBOL demonstration transaction (for transaction dump support). |
AADP | Abend-AID for CICS PL/I demonstration transaction (for transaction dump support). |
AAEB | Abend-AID for WebSphere MQ demonstration transaction (for transaction dump support). |
AARB | Abend-AID for CICS last 3270 screen image capture. |
ERWV | Abend-AID for CICS storage violation demonstration transaction (for region dump support). |
Adding a Profile Definition for the AADF Transaction
The AADF transaction requires a PROFILE option so that the alternate screen size can be used when viewing reports from CICS. The default profile name is CCAAPRO2. You can change the profile name to conform to your site standards, as long as you also change the name in the AADF transaction. If you rename the AADF transaction and the CCAAPRO2 profile, make sure you change the profile name in the renamed transaction. Do not change the associated program.
The CCAAPRO2 profile contains the same values for the operands as the IBM-supplied DFHCICST profile with the exception of the SCRNSIZE value, which is set to ALTERNATE.
The profile definition for CCAAPRO2 is contained in each RDO member in the installation sample library hlq.CTL.
Adding a Profile Definition for the AARB Transaction
The AARB transaction requires a PROFILE option so that if the last 3270 screen image capturing has any extended wait for terminal I/O to complete, the abending task can continue processing after a user-specified length of time. The default profile name is CCAAPROF. You can change the profile name to conform to your site standards, as long as you also change the name in the AARB transaction. If you rename the AARB transaction and the CCAAPROF profile, make sure you change the profile name in the renamed transaction. Do not change the associated program.
The CCAAPROF profile contains the same values for the operands as the IBM-supplied DFHCICST profile. The only optional modification is to the RTIMOUT value, which is currently set to 30 seconds.
The profile definition for CCAAPROF is contained in each RDO member in the installation sample library hlq.CTL.
