What's new

The following new features and changes are available in this release.

  • As part of the BMC Automated Mainframe Intelligence (AMI) transformation, starting with this release, the BMC Compuware IAM product is known as the BMC AMI Storage IAM product. We have updated many of our product panels and views to reflect the new product names. For more information, see BMC AMI Storage IAM Home for the product documentation.
  • We have added a started task, IAMMAIN, to support the BMC V3 Security (License Management) process.
  • Starting with version 11.0.00, you need to use SMP/E RECEIVE and APPLY jobs instead of ZAPs to apply the PTF permanently.

Important

With the introduction of SMP/E installation for V11.0.00, IAM and IAMPLEX products are installed by using the same FMID (ZIAMB00). When you install IAM and IAMPLEX products by using the Installation System, select BMC AMI Storage IAM. After you install, individual products are controlled via the BMC License Manager. License management is available via the Installation System. Navigate to the Configure Products or Components panel and select option 7. Apply Product Passwords. For more information, see Installing-IAM-IAMPLEX.

To obtain passwords, please contact BMC Support.
