Create a PDS member in host explorer

To create a PDS member in Host Explorer

  1. Right-click the desired PDS in Host Explorer and select New Member. This New Member dialog box appears.
  2. In the Member name field, enter the name of the new member and click OK. The new member opens in an editor. Note: The new member is immediately created on the mainframe upon clicking OK.
  3. Edit and save the new member as needed. The PDS is refreshed within Host Explorer and the member remains in use until the editor is closed. If the editor is closed without entering anything, the empty member will remain in the PDS until deleted or otherwise used.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
