Working with preferences

You can use the preferences settings to make changes to time zones, the alert duration, and the color scheme of messages and the background. You have access to the following  preferences settings:

  • General preferences
  • Automation viewer preferences
  • CCS emulator preferences

Note

To use these preferences, you must be logged in.

Selecting general preferences

The General preferences, when applied affect the entire application and not just a single viewer or CCS emulator.

To access general preference

  1. Click the user name from the navigation bar and select Preferences from the drop-down menu. 

    The General Preferences dialog box is displayed.
  2.  Select the relevant time zone from the Time zone display option.
    Select either Server time or Local time to display the date and time. The default is Server time. Your selection affects the display of date and time of message receipt in the following panels:
    • Scrolling message panel
    • Priority message panel
    • Alerts panel
    • Message details panel
  3. In the Alert duration fields, enter the duration in minutes. This is the duration after which alerts should be removed from the Alert panel
  4. Adjust the duration using . The default alert duration is 5 minutes.
  5. Click Save.

Automation viewer and CCS emulator preferences

The Automation viewer and CCS emulator have the same preferences options. You can customize the color of messages and their backgrounds.

  1. Click  to open viewer or CCS emulator preferences. It is located at the bottom of the navigation bar as displayed in the following figure:



  2. Click a color on the preferences color panel to change the color.
    Select a shade from the color picker and click Save.


  3. Your changes are reflected on the Preferences panel, and also in the viewer or CCS emulator, as displayed in the following figure:



  4. Click Cancel to discard a change.
  5. Click Save to save a change. 
  6. Click Reset to defaults to restore default colors.

Note

Changes are applied only to the relevant viewer or CCS emulator for the user currently logged in.
