Server fix pack for OpenJDK JRE 11
In its recent Oracle Java SE support roadmap, Oracle announced plans to end public updates for Java SE 8 and Java Web Start. Because Oracle is replacing the Java 8 JRE with an OpenJDK JRE 11, 32-bit JREs will no longer be supported.
To accommodate these changes, this release of BMC AMI Console Management provides stand-alone applications from which you can launch the Automation Viewer and the CCS Console Viewer. This release delivers the viewer applications via the following packages:
- Windows installer package (mvcm-viewer-3.4.11.msi)
Zip file (mvcm-viewer-3.4.11.zip)
You can download these packages to your local machine or to a server, and you can use the packages for remote deployment. As an administrator, you have the following options:
- Add the installer package to the Desktop Software downloads page on the BMC AMI Console Management web server.
- Provide the .msi file, the .zip file, or both on a network share.
- Provide the .msi file to your IT department to push the installer to the operators' desktops.
