SecureHMC

A Console Automation Server can connect to one or more Hardware Management Consoles (HMCs). The HMC Connections page displays the currently defined HMC sessions with their status and allows an Automation servers connections to individual HMCs to be started, stopped and modified.

HMC must be properly configured to allow a Console Automation Server to receive messages and send commands. See the IBM document System z Application Programming Interfaces (order number SB10-7030-14), see the 'Configuring for the data exchange APIs' page for the complete details.
