Receiving alerts

Alerts are notifications about messages or events that need immediate attention. An administrator defines rules in the Automation Viewers page to send alerts.

The Viewer displays the alerts by using the browser’s notification mechanism. Alerts are displayed even when the browser window is minimized.

An alert is displayed for a period of time that the administrator has set. The Alert notifications are displayed for five seconds. To review recent alerts, open the Alerts panel in the viewer.

From the Alerts panel, you can review the alerts and delete them when it is not required. The alerts are deleted automatically from the Alerts panel after five minutes (default) if you do not delete them.

The Alerts panel is located at the top of the primary viewer window. The Alert icon displays a red badge indicating the number of active alerts as follows :
