Configuring email-based approvals

Approval notification messages for email-based approvals are pre-configured for BMC Remedy ITSM applications. By default, email-based approvals are enabled by default.

Email-based approvals require that the BMC Remedy AR System Email Engine be configured to support the Modify operation for incoming emails. For detailed information about required configuration on the BMC Remedy AR System server, see Configuring BMC Remedy Email Engine for modify actions.
