Troubleshooting BMC Remedy Assignment Engine
The BMC Remedy Assignment Engine is bundled with BMC Remedy AR System Server. Therefore, there is no separate procedure to troubleshoot BMC Remedy Assignment Engine. The com.bmc.arsys.assignmentEngine-<version number>-SNAPSHOT.jar is located in \BMC Software\ARSystem\deploy
folder.
The BMC Remedy Assignment Engine files are deployed at the following location:
\BMC Software\ARSystem\assignmentengine\bin
List of BMC Remedy Assignment Engine files available after an upgrade:
- araejversionNumber_buildNumber.jar
- aej-message-bundle.properties
- log4j.properties
- aejstartup.bat
The bin
folder is empty if you have performed a fresh installation. These files are present but are not used during an upgrade.
Comments
There is no
ARSystem\deploy\assignmentEngine
folder in 9.1.00 system only the com.bmc.arsys.assignmentEngine-9.1.00-SNAPSHOT.jar resides inARSystem\deploy
Output from my linux testbox:
[remedy@VIE-VM-260 ARSystem]$ pwd
/opt/bmc/ARSystem
[remedy@VIE-VM-260 ARSystem]$ find ./ -name *aej*
./db/aej.log
[remedy@VIE-VM-260 ARSystem]$ find ./ -name *ass*
./assignmentengine
So the other mentioned files obviously also do not exist.
Hello Andreas,

Thanks,
Prachi
