Shortcut keys in RTF editor

Shortcut keys provide an easy and quick method of navigating and executing operations. The following tables list the shortcut keys available in the RTF editor provided by BMC Remedy Mid Tier version 9.1.03 and later.

General RTF shortcut keys

Closes an RTF dialog box, drop-down list, or context menu. Equivalent to the Cancel button in a dialog box.
 
ENTERSelects a RTF function from the toolbar, drop-down list, or context menu. Equivalent to the OK button in a dialog box.
SHIFT+F10, Menu ApplicationOpens the element's context menu.
HOMEMoves the cursor to the beginning of the line.
CTRL+HOMEMoves the cursor to the beginning of the document.
ENDMoves the cursor to the end of the line.
CTRL+ENDMoves the cursor to the end of the document.
PgDnScrolls down the document.
PgUpScrolls up the document.
CTRL+ZPerforms an undo operation.
CTRL+Y or SHIFT+CTRL+ZPerforms a redo operation.
CTRL+X or SHIFT+DELCuts a text fragment.
CTRL+CCopies a text fragment.
CTRL+V or SHIFT+INSERTPastes a text fragment from the clipboard.

RTF shortcut keys for writing

Shortcut KeyDescription
ENTER (RETURN)Ends a paragraph and starts a new one.
SHIFT+ENTERAdds a line break.
SHIFT+CTRL+3Enables entering content (by adding a new paragraph) before a problematic element, such as an image, table, or <div> element.
SHIFT+CTRL+4Enables entering content (by adding a new paragraph) after a problematic element, such as an image, table or, <div> element.
BACKSPACE or DELDeletes a character.
CTRL+BACKSPACE or CTRL+DELDeletes a word.

CTRL+ASelects all document content.
SHIFT+ARROWSelects a text fragment by letters.
CTRL+SHIFT+ARROWSelects a text fragment by words.
SHIFT+HOMESelects a text fragment from the cursor to the beginning of the line.

RTF shortcut keys for copy formatting

Shortcut keyDescription
CTRL+SHIFT+CCopies the inline formatting from a text fragment and enables the sticky mode.
CTRL+SHIFT+VApplies the previously copied inline formatting to a text fragment.
ESCDisables the sticky mode.

Enables spell check option in the browser.

CTRL+L Opens the Link dialog box.

RTF shortcut keys for keyboard support

Shortcut keyDescription
ALT+F10

Open the editor toolbar. Use the TAB and SHIFT+TAB to move between toolbar groups. Use ARROW keys to move between the buttons within a toolbar group.
