Setting the distributed mapping cache refresh interval

To reduce the load on the BMC Remedy AR System database, distributed mapping information is cached. By default, the cache is refreshed every 30 minutes. You can change the cache refresh interval in Administration Console or the BMC Remedy AR System configuration file.

To set the distributed cache refresh interval

  1. Open the BMC Remedy AR System Administration: Server Information form for the local BMC Remedy AR System server.
  2. Click the DSO tab.
  3. In the Cache Check Interval field, enter a refresh interval in seconds. The maximum value is 43200 seconds (12 hours).
The corresponding entry in the BMC Remedy AR System server configuration file is DSO-Cache-Check-Interval.
  4. Click OK.
The change takes effect immediately. You do not need to restart the BMC Remedy AR System server.
