Implementing Change Request using Deployment Management Console

This topic uses the following business scenario to explain the implementation of a change request using the Deployment Management Console.

Ajay, the Business Analyst submits a request for enhancements required in BMC Remedy IT Service Management. He then gathers information and generates a change request for implementing the change. The following diagram illustrates the lifecycle of a change request using BMC Change Management and the BMC Remedy AR System Deployment Management Console.

Notes

  • In a controlled environment, the change request is directly promoted from the Development environment to the Production environment.
  • If any issues are found during validation in QA or Production environment, the package is sent back to the developer for correction in the Development environment, and the process is restarted.
