This topic provides information about BMC Remedy Mid Tier enhancements and new features.

Mid tier response time monitoring

Starting with this release, you can monitor the following parameters for mid tier response time:

  • Bandwidth
  • Latency
  • Page load time
  • Last transaction time

Clustering support for mid tier

Starting with this release, mid tier can run in an Apache Tomcat cluster environment, which has the following features and benefits:

  • Configures easily
  • Supports In Memory session replication
  • Supports high availability
  • Enhances reliability, availability, and serviceability
  • Provides seamless failover
  • Provides the ability to add extra mid tiers to the cluster dynamically

Multitenancy in mid tier

Starting with this release, mid tier can be used as a multitenant application. With this enhancement, mid tier can be configured as a shared service so that mid tier can serve requests from multiple customers. Multitenant mid tier provides the following benefits:

  • Allows you to isolate resources per tenant
  • Provides scaling to manage load
  • Ensures resiliency
  • Optimizes costs
  • Controls the data flowing through the service

Skins administration for users

Starting with this release, you can enable any user to configure and modify skins on the form views by using the Skin Designer role in BMC Remedy AR System. In a multitenant environment, you may enable tenants to configure skins for their environment. Search result pagination

Starting with this release, you can view a large number of search results in pages instead of single large list. For more information, see Setting pagination properties.
