Configuring Atrium Integrator to rename the servers

The following procedure describes how to update the server name for Atrium Integrator.

You need to update the new server name at the following locations:

  1. Update the UDM:Config form.
    1. In a browser, open the UDM:Config form.
    2. Update the Host field with the new host name. 
  2. Update the UDM:RAppPassword form.
    1. In a browser, open the UDM:RAppPassword form. 
    2. Update the new server name in the Server Name field.
    3. Update the new password in the RApp Password field.
  3. Remove all existing entries from the UDM:ExecutionInstanceform.
    1. In a browser, open the UDM:ExecutionInstance form.
    2. Delete all the existing entries.
  4. Perform this step only if you have executed jobs on the old server by modifying the UDM: PermissionInfo form.
    For the executed jobs, remove the old server entry from the UDM:PermissionInfo form.
    1. In a browser, open the UDM:PermissionInfo form. 
    2. Update the new server name in the Atrium Integrator Engine field.
  5. Change the server name in the Atrium Integrator console. 
    1. Launch the Atrium Integrator console. 
    2. Open the Manage Datastores tool dialog box. 
    3. Select the data store. 
    4. Update the new server name the AR Server Name field.
  6. Update the server name in Atrium Integrator Spoon. 
    1. Open the Atrium Integrator Spoon. 
    2. Open any one job which uses the old server name. 
    3. Open a transformation.
    4. In the Explorer pane click Database connections> <old server name>. Database connection dialog box is displayed. 
    5. In the Settings section, update the new server name details. 
    6. Click OK.
    7. Click Save.
  7. Update the new server name in Job scheduler. 
    1. Open the Atrium Integrator console. 
    2. Select the desired job.
    3. Open the Manage Job Schedule dialog box. 
    4. In the Carte Server drop-down list, select the new server name. 
    5. Click Save.

      Note

      You will have to repeat the steps for each job.

    Step 7 doesn't make any sense. Don't you have to select a job before opening the Manage Job Schedule dialog? Otherwise there is nothing to Save.

     

    Which raises the question: do you have to do this for every job, or just one?

    Step 5 should also have update Remedy App Service Password.  This password is supplied on the AR System Administration: Server Information form Connection Settings tab. See note for UDM:RAppPassword.

      Thank you for your comment. You must update the Remedy App Service password in the UDM:RAppPassword form, as per step 2. Then, you do not need to update the password again in step 5.
