BMC Remedy Encryption Security modifications to the JRE

When you install BMC Remedy Encryption Performance Security or BMC Remedy Encryption Premium Security on Java-based components, the JDK JRE and public JRE directories that you specify during installation are modified as follows:

  • These providers are added:
    • RSA Crypto-J 4.0 FIPS-140
    • Bouncy Castle JCE 133 (AIX only)
  • These files are added:
    • jsafeJCEFIPS.jar
    • bcprov-jdk15-133.jar
  • These JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction policies are changed:
    • US_export_policy.jar
    • local_policy.jar

      Warning

      If you update the JRE or JDK on a computer on which the current version of BMC Remedy Encryption Performance Security or BMC Remedy Encryption Premium Security is installed, these modifications might be lost. To reapply them, you must reinstall BMC Remedy Encryption Performance Security or BMC Remedy Encryption Premium Security.
