About BMC Remedy AR System

BMC Remedy AR System is a professional development environment that leverages the recommendations of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and provides a foundation for Business Service Management (BSM) solutions. Using BMC Remedy AR System, nonprogrammers can build powerful business workflow applications and deploy them simultaneously in web, Microsoft Windows, UNIX, and Linux environments.

Applications built with BMC Remedy AR System can automatically track anything that is important to the processes in your enterprise. Companies use BMC Remedy AR System applications to track such diverse items as stock trades, benefits data, inventory assets, spare parts, and order fulfillment. One of the most common uses of BMC Remedy AR System is to automate internal service desks.

About BMC Remedy Encryption Premium Security

BMC Remedy Encryption Premium Security (BMC Remedy Encryption Premium) enables the AR System server and its clients to communicate securely over a network by encrypting the messages sent between them. Encryption makes sure that the communication is secure and that third parties cannot decipher the messages in transit. Premium Security includes third-party encryption software developed by the OpenSSL Project for use in the OpenSSL toolkit.

Premium Security provides the following types of encryption:

  • RC4 with a 2048-bit key for data encryption and a 2048-bit modulus for the RSA key exchange
  • AES CBC with a 256-bit key for data encryption and a 2048-bit modulus for the RSA key exchange

BMC Remedy Encryption Premium uses SHA-1 for message authentication, and it also supports the minimum Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2 encryption requirements.

About BMC Remedy Encryption Performance Security

BMC Remedy Encryption Performance Security (BMC Remedy Encryption Performance) enables the AR System server and its clients to communicate securely over a network by encrypting the messages sent between them. This encryption makes sure that the communication is secure and that third parties cannot decipher the messages in transit. BMC Remedy Encryption Performance includes third-party encryption software developed by the OpenSSL Project for use in the OpenSSL toolkit.

BMC Remedy Encryption Performance provides the following types of encryption:

  • RC4 with a 128-bit key for data encryption and a 1024-bit modulus for the RSA key exchange
  • AES CBC with a 128-bit key for data encryption and a 1024-bit modulus for the RSA key exchange.

BMC Remedy Encryption Performance uses SHA-1 for message authentication, and it also supports the minimum FIPS 140-2 encryption requirements.

About BMC Remedy Migrator

BMC Remedy Migrator automates the process of transferring objects and data from one source (server or file) to another. For example, you can develop workflow applications on a development server (source) and use BMC Remedy Migrator to transfer them to a production server (destination), ensuring the integrity of all migrated changes.

With BMC Remedy Migrator, you can migrate objects and data to and from servers quickly, while still having all clients connected and running. BMC Remedy Migrator checks for the integrity of objects, such as groups, active links, forms, and so on. It migrates only those objects that have changed after the initial migration.

BMC Remedy Migrator can migrate BMC Remedy AR System objects and data to and from the same server, from one server to another, or to many servers. It can also migrate from a server to a file, from a file to a server, or a file to a file, and can migrate data from one form to another as well as to a file.
