Prepare your environment to install BMC Remedy AR System and the BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite.

Preparing for installation

Run a new installation of all of the BMC Remedy ITSM Suite products:

  • BMC Remedy AR System
  • BMC Atrium CMDB
  • BMC Atrium Core Web Services
  • Atrium Integrator server
  • BMC Remedy IT Service Management
  • BMC Service Request Management
  • BMC Service Level Management

Performing a new installation

Install two or more servers in a server group.

Perform other AR System installations, including:

  • Running the suite and client installers
  • Using the silent installer
  • Configuring your web server and installing BMC Remedy Mid Tier with a .war file
  • Installing multiple instances of BMC Remedy AR System on one computer
  • Installing BMC Remedy Migrator
  • Installing BMC Remedy Encryption Security
  • Installing a stand-alone BMC Atrium Integrator engine for BMC Remedy AR System
  • Installing SSO with the AR System server and mid tier

Performing other installations

Perform post-installation procedures to finalize your installation.

Post-installation procedures

Use the BMC Remedy AR System Maintenance Tool to access logs for troubleshooting issues you have with the installer.

Uninstall BMC Remedy AR System features and clients, such as the mid tier and encryption.

    I'm soooo tired of the document and information gathering for the BMC Remdy ITSM product being issue laden.  I would think that you'd make it easy on those of us that repersent YOUR product and wish to do it to the BEST of my ability.  NOT by a wing and a prayer.

      Thanks for your candid feedback. We have taken a note of the limitations of the documentation and have tried to address the issues in the version 8.1 documentation. 

      We have created a separate online documentation for installation and upgrade. While this is not all, we are trying to continuously improve our documentation.
