Scheduling and manually executing a transformation or job

uses workflow-based forms and scheduling operations in  to schedule transformations or jobs for execution.

To schedule a transformation or job

  1. Open the UDM:Execution form, and create an execution instance on the .

When a job is executed in this framework, an entry is automatically added to the UDM:ScheduleProcessor form. This form then processes the job based on the job parameters.

The scheduling framework provides a escalation that runs hourly and retrieves due jobs from AR System Job form. The due jobs are moved to a pending queue where the pending queue processor writes each job item entry to appropriate vendor form based on a job type mapping provided in the AR System Job Type Mapping section.

For the "pentaho" job type, AR System places an entry into the UDM:ScheduleProcessor vendor form. The ARDBC plug-in form receives all the parameters, such as the transformation or job name, type and execution instance. Then it starts the execution instance on the Atrium Integration engine server using these parameters.

To manually execute a transformation or job

  1. Create an execution instance on the  using the UDM:Execution form.
  2. Select Create Execution Instance in the Operation field.
  3. Assign the other fields on the form as necessary.
  4. Use the UDM:Execution form to create another entry.
  5. Select Start Execution Instance in the Operation field. (You can also stop, pause/resume, or remove an execution instance by configuring another value in the Operation field.)
