Setting the distributed mapping cache refresh interval

Important

The Distributed Server Option (DSO) is available only for on-premises deployments.

To reduce the load on the BMC Remedy AR System database, distributed mapping information is cached. By default, the cache is refreshed every 30 minutes. You can change the cache refresh interval in Administration Console or the AR System Configuration Generic UI form (For more information, see Updating configuration settings by using the AR System Configuration Generic UI form).

To set the distributed cache refresh interval

  1. Open the BMC Remedy AR System Administration: Server Information form for the local BMC Remedy AR System server.
  2. Click the DSO tab.
  3. In the Cache Check Interval field, enter a refresh interval in seconds. The maximum value is 43200 seconds (12 hours). The corresponding entry in the AR System Configuration Generic UI form is DSO-Cache-Check-Interval.
  4. Click OK. The change takes effect immediately. You do not need to restart the BMC Remedy AR System server.
