NextId plug-in configuration

The NextId plug-in is used to merge new IDs on a form. The NextId plug-in creates a new entry, adds a request ID, and then merges this entry on a specified form with the merge type as AR_MERGE_ENTRY_DUP_MERGE, which updates the fields specified in the field list in the existing entry.

Plug-in type

NextId is a Java-based Filter API plug-in.

AR System server connectivity

The NextId plug-in connects to the AR System server when an event occurs through a filter that is related to this plug-in. The plug-in (nextid.jar) is installed in the <ARInstallationFolder>\pluginsvr\nid folder.

Configuration information

The configuration information of the NextID plug-in is available in the AR System Administration: Plugin Server Configuration form.

The AR System Administration: AR System Configuration Generic UI form includes the Server-Plugin-Alias setting that points to the correct plug-in server alias. For example:
Server-Plugin-Alias: NextId NextId myServer:9999
