File System Sync plug-in configuration

The File System Sync plug-in synchronizes files that were modified or added since the last sync with the RKM:KnowledgeArticleManager form. A BMC Remedy AR System escalation calls this plug-in and passes the latest sync time.

Plug-in type

File System Sync is a Java-based Filter API plug-in.

AR System server connectivity

The File System Sync plug-in connects to the AR System server when an escalation occurs at a given interval. The File System Sync plug-in (file-system-sync.jar) is installed in the C:\BMC Software\BMCRemedyITSMSuite\Shared_Components\plugins folder.

The configuration information of the File System Sync plug-in is available in the AR System Administration: Plugin Server Configuration form.

The AR System Administration: AR System Configuration Generic UI form includes the Server-Plugin-Alias setting that points to the correct plug-in server alias:
Server-Plugin-Alias: RMDY.ITSM.RKM.FS.KAM.SYNC RMDY.ITSM.RKM.FS.KAM.SYNC myServer:9999
