Cookies used by BMC Remedy Mid Tier

BMC Remedy Mid Tier uses cookies to define user sessions, encrypt data, and provide access to features. The cookies are secure, provided that the secure cookie filter is enabled and the mid tier is accessed through an HTTPS request. For more information, see General security guidelines.

Note

All cookies used by the mid tier are required. When configuring the mid tier firewall, if you do not accept cookies, BMC Remedy Mid Tier might not function correctly.

IP-Restriction GUID — A persistent cookie used to track the user so that the same user cannot log on from multiple computers

Global Keywords — Used to track the global keywords used by the mid tier

JSESSIONID

JSESSIONID — An HTTP-only session cookie created by the application server containing the encrypted data of the user session

Pop-up Blocker — Indicates whether a pop-up blocker is to be shown or not

Deleted when the session times out or the browser is closed

QCache-Control — A cookie to assist in cache control directive that tracks a request for an established set of users. Persists for a week

Session Tracker — Used to track the total number of open windows

Deleted when the session times out or the browser is closed

Window — Used to display the name of the window

FC

Flash Cookie — Used to hold the cookie data in a Flash or shared object

Global Fields — Used to track the values of global fields when the fields are used across forms

License Timeout — Used to track when the license times out

Session Timeout — Used to track when the active session times out

MJUID

Midtier Javascript Unique IdentifierContains a unique value used to track the user’s Global field and keyword values during the lifespan of the user’s session with the application server.
