BATCH CONTROL FACILITY component of AR/CTL

AR/CTL for IMS can work closely with the BATCH Control FACILITY (BCF) component of AR/CTL. The AR/CTL BCF component automates and controls the IMS batch DL/I backout process and enhances the IMS batch DL/I logging environment.

Although some options of AR/CTL require the BCF component to be active, AR/CTL and the BCF component are independent. You can obtain the major benefits of one without using the other. When used together, AR/CTL and the BCF component provide significant benefits for batch DL/I programs.
