Pacing status code

This option is valid for IMS and IMS compatible application programs and for non IMS programs that use the extended checkpoint ( ARCECHK ) call.

Use this option to define the status code that AR/CTL returns if checkpoint processing is bypassed. The application program can use this status code to determine whether to bypass the database repositioning it normally performs after a checkpoint call. The technique that the application program can use to check the status code depends on the type of checkpoint call used.

Warning

Note

If you set the pacing status code to any value other than blanks, ensure that the application program can process the status code value you set.
