Intercept SQL return codes


The Intercept SQL Return Codes option controls whether 

AR/CTL

 attempts to intercept a defined SQL return code and transform it to a defined user abend code and reason code. This defined user abend code and reason code can be defined as a combination that is eligible for application reattach processing.

SQL return code handling requires the use of an SQL return code class record. You can use an existing record or create a new one. For more information, see Setting-SQL-return-code-class-options.

Set one of the following values:

  • N
    Do not intercept SQL return codes.
  • Y
    Intercept defined SQL return codes and transform them according to the definitions in the selected SQL return code class record. You must set the SQL Return Code Class Name option to the name of the SQL return code class record you want to select.
