Availability and Performance dashlet (Real User Analyzer)

Use the Availability and Performance dashlet to analyze the availability or performance for a specific Watchpoint for one or two time periods.You can compare the number of pages with errors. Additionally, you can see the results for different time intervals. You can select a time range from Last 24 hours up to This month.

In the Real User Analyzer, the Availability and Performance are two separate dashlets: the Availability dashlet and the Performance dashlet.

To configure the dashlets in the Console

  1. On either the Availability dashlet or Performance dashlet shortcut menu, click Edit settings.
  2. Configure settings for the dashlet as follows:
    • Dashlet title - Type a name. The default is Availability or Performance.
    • Watchpoint list - Select the Watchpoint corresponding to the object or page for which you want to display information.
    • Time Range list - Select a time range for the information that you want to show. The default is This week.
    • Compare to list - Select a value to show comparative data or select No comparison. The list values change according to the selected Time Range.
    • Auto Scale Y axis - To customize the scale of data shown, clear the check box and enter maximum and minimum values for the Y axis of the bar graph. If you set a minimum that is greater than your data highest value, the graph might appear empty (or empty in places). If this happens, enter a smaller Y-axis value.
  3. Click Save.

To configure the dashlets on an Analyzer

  1. On the dashlet shortcut menu, click Edit settings.
  2. Configure settings for the Availability dashlet as follows:
    • Watchpoint list - Select the Watchpoint corresponding to the object or page for which you want to display information.
    • Metric list - click Performance or Availability.
    • Time Range list - Select a time range for the information that you want to show. The default is This week.
    • Compare to list - Select a value to show comparative data or select No comparison. The list values change according to the selected Time Range.
    • Auto Scale Y axis - To customize the scale of data shown, clear the check box and enter maximum and minimum values for the Y axis of the bar graph. If you set a minimum that is greater than your data highest value, the graph might appear empty (or empty in places). If this happens, enter a smaller Y-axis value.
    • Color theme list - To change the color scheme, select a theme. To provide visual contrast, you can also set the dashlet against a solid background by selecting the Use color background check box.
  3. Click Save.

To get details about data on the dashlet

To display the value that a point on a graph represents, move the pointer over a bar in the bar graph or anywhere in the pie chart.

A tooltip shows the details.

To navigate from a dashlet to reports or snapshots

  1. Click a bar in the bar graph, anywhere in the pie chart, or the percentage.
  2. In the menu that appears, select one of the following commands to drill down to a report, snapshot of sessions, or page details, or to run a Performance Analysis query for the portion of the traffic that you selected. (The menu commands are available in the Console and in the Analyzer unless indicated otherwise in parenthesis.)
    • Drill down to report
    • Drill down to sessions
    • Drill down to pages
    • (Console only) Analyze these pages
