LockTimeout


The LockTimeout parameter sets the Db2 special register CURRENT LOCK TIMEOUT for the application request. You can use this parameter to control the lock timeout value for the application request by specifying the number of seconds to wait before detecting a timeout.

Valid values

One of the following integers:

-1—Wait until a lock is released or a deadlock is detected.

0—Do not wait for a lock if it cannot be obtained.

1–32767—Number of seconds to wait for a lock.

Default value

None. The current value of the IRLMRWT subsystem parameter is used.

Usage

Specify a lock timeout value that you want High-speed Apply Engine to use for the application request. This parameter is valid only when running on Db2 13 or later.
