SVOS component console commands

In addition to controlling BMC AMI Storage through the BMC AMI Ops interface, you can control BMC AMI Storage by operator commands that you enter through the console.

Commands are directed to SVOS, which relays the commands to the

BMC AMI Storage

 component for execution.

You can direct commands to SVOS in these ways:

  • Use the component identifier that is defined to SVOS with the SUBCHAR parameter (see SVOS-command-syntax-conventions).

    Warning

    Example

    /SVOS R,SYS=00

In this command, / is the subsystem character.

  • Use the z/OS MODIFY command.

    Warning

    Example

    F SVOS,SVOS R,SYS=00

In this command, the first SVOS represents your Started Task and the second SVOS is the name of the loader.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
