Field Names and Descriptions
The following list describes all of the fields on the Data Disguise Menu.
FIELD | DESCRIPTION |
|---|---|
P - Privacy | Select this option to disguise an existing extract file by applying the Dynamic Privacy Rules (disguise criteria rules) as defined in a DPR: Dynamic Privacy Rules Project that was created with the Data Studio’s Data Privacy component of the Data Studio. This option requires installation of File-AID/Data Solutions and the Data Studio’s Data Privacy component of the Data Studio. Before submitting a disguise request with the DPR data privacy option, make sure that you have access to the DPR repository where the disguise criteria (Dynamic Privacy Rules) were defined using Data Studio’s Data Privacy. |
1 - Criteria | Select this option when you want to define or modify disguise criteria for objects to be extracted and disguised. Creating a list of objects is always the first step in creating or modifying disguise criteria. Before selecting this option make sure that you have set the correct File-AID/Data Solutions parameters with Option 3, Parms, and that the Disguise Control and Disguise Criteria files already exist. |
2 - Disguise | Select this option to disguise an existing extract file using the disguise criteria rules as defined in the Disguise Control File and Disguise Criteria File or a DPR: Dynamic Privacy Rules Project of Data Studio’s Data Privacy. This option also allows you to disguise extract files that were created with the current or earlier release of File-AID for IMS. |
3 - Parms | Select this option to specify File-AID/Data Solutions parameters that are necessary for File-AID for IMS to connect properly to File-AID/Data Solutions, including:
|
4 - Control | Displays the “Allocate Disguise Control File” screen where you can allocate a new Disguise Control file. The File-AID for IMS Disguise Control file is the repository that keeps track of all defined disguise criteria for File-AID for IMS objects. |
5 - Criteria | Displays the “Allocate Disguise Criteria File” screen where you can allocate a new Disguise Criteria file. This file is maintained by File-AID/Data Solutions and is the repository for all detailed disguise criteria for File-AID for IMS objects. |
6 - Print Control | Displays the “Print Disguise Control File” screen which you use to print the contents of the Disguise Control file. |
A - Print Audit | Displays the “Print Disguise Audit Trail” screen which you use to print the Disguise Audit Trail dataset which was created automatically when you specified Y for “Create Audit Trail” from Option 2, Disguise. |
