Installing license keys for BMC AMI Ops Console Management

This section describes the steps to obtain and install BMC AMI Ops Console Management server license keys for your on-premise installation.

Every BMC AMI Ops Console Management installation needs a license key to activate the full capabilities of the product.

As each key is tied to a host (hardware or virtual machine), you must request for a unique license key for each server by using the BMC Support Central site.

  • Verify that the machine type is correctly set for your system

Requesting temporary or permanent license keys

To access the self-service license key generator, you must have an active user login account on BMC Support Central. Also, you can use the BMC Support Central site to request a permanent license key.

In case you do not know your user ID and password for the site, contact BMC Customer Support Contacts for your region.
