task input/output table (TIOT)

An MVS control block that provides a link between a data set and the volumes on which the data set exists. The TIOT entries contain the name of each DD statement and four-byte pointers to the unit control blocks (UCBs) of the associated devices. See also data-definition-DD-statement.
