Configuring core CMDB components and plug-ins

Starting with the Atrium Core version 9.1.04 release, configuring the core components of CMDB is simplified and accessed from the centralized configurations screen.

From the CMDB Dashboard, go to Configurations > Core Configurations.

The left pane provides tabs for the following CMDB components:

  • CMDB Engine
  • Normalization
  • CMDB Services
  • Reconciliation
  • Atrium Integrator
  • Impact Simulator
  • Event Channel
  • DSM
  • USM
  • Notification
  • Service Context
  • Deprecation

Click the component that you want to configure. The right pane displays all the component-related parameters. An "i" icon  is available next to a parameter name that contains a tool-tip about the parameter usage. This helps you understand a parameter before setting its value. The values that are already displayed in some parameters are the default values. For example, for the CMDB Engine component, the Cache Refresh Interval parameter contains the value 300000, which is the default number of milliseconds for cache refresh.

Parameters that belong to a single category are grouped together, such as Logging, Plugin Server, and so on.

After you set values for the required components, click Save.

For all Atrium Integrator job listings, you can view, start, stop, and delete the jobs in the new BMC Atrium CMDB user interface but you cannot create Atrium Integrator jobs. You can create the Atrium Integrator jobs in the old BMC Atrium CMDB user interface.
