Enabling or disabling BMC Remedy AR System users as inquirers

You can configure the UDDI Registry Server to allow all BMC Remedy AR System users regardless of their privileges to act as inquirers, which means that they can run queries to retrieve registry data but cannot publish new entries or modify existing entries.

This might be useful in situations where allowing for BMC Remedy AR System users to query endpoints without also having to grant publishing privileges is desirable.


This feature does not allow users that log on to BMC Remedy AR System as a guest to make inquiries. Only users that exist in the AR system can authenticate as inquirers.

To set BMC Remedy AR System users as inquirers

  1. In a text editor, open the file in <ATRIUMCORE_HOME>/wsc/bmcuddi/tomcat/webapps/uddi/WEB-INF/classes/.
  2. Change the property to true to enable this feature or to false to disable it.
    By default, it is set to false, which disables the feature.
  3. Stop the Tomcat server that hosts UDDI Registry Server.
  4. To overwrite the existing file, copy the  <ATRIUMCORE_HOME>/wsc/bmcuddi/tomcat/webapps/uddi/WEB-INF/classes/ file to the TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/uddi/WEB-INF/classes directory.
  5. Start the Tomcat server.
