Updates in Service Pack 2
With BMC Atrium Core 8.1.02, the following enhancements are now available:
Adding variable qualification in CMDBInput
Before version 8.1.00 Service Pack 2, the CMDBInput step used constant qualification. Starting with Service Pack 2, the CMDBInput step supports variable qualification as well.
You can now add a step before the CMDBInput step and use the Qualification Editor to build the qualification. The fields from the newly added step are evaluated at run-time. Based on this qualification, CMDBInput fetches the data from CMDB.
For more information, see Adding intermediate steps to a Atrium Integrator transformation.
Enhanced export, import of normalization configurations
Before version 8.1.00 Service Pack 2, while exporting and importing normalization configurations, you had to manually copy the XML configuration information to a file or from a file. Starting with Service Pack 2, you can now export the configuration to a file or import it from a file directly.
For more information, see Exporting and importing normalization configurations.
Enhanced export of reconciliation definitions
Before version 8.1.00 Service Pack 2, while exporting the reconciliation definitions, you had to manually copy the job settings and save it in a file. Starting with Service Pack 2, you can now save it directly to a file.
For more information, see Exporting reconciliation definitions.
Migrate jobs from one computer to another using the Export Configuration tool
Starting with Service Pack 2, instead of using the Development-to-Production command line utility to migrate jobs, you can now use the Export Configuration tool.
For more information, see Migrating Atrium Integrator jobs and transformations from one computer to another.
Fail-over support for Atrium Integrator
Starting with Service Pack 2, you now configure the Atrium Integrator Engine installed with BMC Remedy AR System server in a failover mode. To support this capability new Carte Pending form is added.
For more information, see Configuring Atrium Integrator Engine in failover mode.
for Atrium Integrator jobsEnhanced job verification
The Atrium Integrator transformations can now be verified at a job level using the verify job feature added in the BMC Atrium Core version 8.1.02. Earlier, the transformation verification were not available at a job level.
At a given time in an environment a job can have more than 70 to 80 transformations. Using the verify job feature you can verify all the transformations within the job in a single click. You can create a report of issues categorized as errors, warnings, remarks, and success. This report is a complete report of all the transformations present in a single job. Before running the actual transformation, running the verify job feature enables you to identify the possible errors in the transformation automatically. It saves you the task of manually verifying each and every contained transformation.
