IPv6 enhancements in version 8.1.00

BMC Atrium Core supports Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) network addresses. Besides increasing the number of available IP addresses, this enhancement benefits government vendors who must support operation on IPv6 networks, as required by a United States of America federal mandate.

You can deploy BMC Atrium Core servers in an IPv6-configured network and make them accessible to clients on IPv4, IPv6, or both IPv4 and IPv6 (dual-stack) configured hosts. BMC Atrium Core supports the same operating systems and databases for Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) as BMC Remedy AR System, as described in Support for IPv6 in the BMC Remedy AR System 8.1 online documentation.

Except for BMC Atrium Integration Engine, all BMC Atrium Core components support IPv6: BMC Atrium CMDB, BMC Atrium Core Web Services, BMC Atrium Core Web Services Registry, and Atrium Integrator.

For more information, see BMC Atrium Core support for IPv6.
