BMC Atrium Core support for IPv6
BMC Atrium Core supports the same operating systems and databases for IPv6 as BMC Remedy AR System, as described in Support for IPv6 in the BMC Remedy AR System 8.0 online documentation. In addition, BMC Atrium Core has the following IPv6 considerations.
- Except for BMC Atrium Integration Engine, all BMC Atrium Core components support IPv6: BMC Atrium CMDB, BMC Atrium Core Web Services, BMC Atrium Core Web Services Registry, and Atrium Integrator.
For Windows platforms, BMC Atrium Core requires Java SE 7 or later on an IPv6 server. You can run the BMC Remedy AR System and BMC Atrium Core installers on an IPv6 server with Java SE 6 installed. However, you must upgrade to Java SE 7. If you are upgrading BMC Remedy AR System and BMC Atrium Core, you can upgrade to Java SE 7 after upgrading to BMC Remedy AR System version 8.0.01 or later.
- You can upgrade to or install BMC Atrium Core version 8.0.01 on a server with an IPv4 address and then change to an IPv6 address. After you change to the IPv6 address, you must complete additional configurations.
